Arte e Architettura in Calabria

Cari lettori, andiamo nella Locri di più di 2600 anni fa e narriamo la storia di un politico e primo legislatore di tutto l'occidente: ZALEUCO posizione della Poleis Zaleuco visse nella Poleis achea di Locri, che nei primi secoli della sua esistenza grazie alla sua posizione al centro di una fertile pianura costiera fu socialmente influente ed economicamente prospera, tanto da competere con la potente Crotone ( Kroton ). Quest'ultima era egemone sulla costa ionica calabrese ed oltre, così, per arrestare la sua prepotenza su gran parte del territorio calabrese tra VII e VI secolo a.C. i Locresi  per avere altri sbocchi commerciali fondarono due sub-colonie anche sulla costa tirrenica calabrese, ovvero Medma (odierna Rosarno)   e Hipponion  (odierna Vibo Valentia). Le due sub-colonie fondate da Locri sulla costa tirrenica calabrese, in breve tempo divennero due delle più importanti città della Magna Grecia.
