Conclusions - the abbey nowadays is much smaller, because largely destroyed by a landslide in 1569.
Once upon a time there was also a very large "scriptorium", with an adjoining calligraphic school for the copying and illumination of ancient codes, meticulous work which contributed to the conservation of classical literary sources.
